Baylor Scott & White Health has named Becky Hardie the new chief nursing officer (CNO) for its Waco hospital. Hardie will support a team of nursing and health care professionals while providing executive leadership and oversight for the day-to-day nursing operations of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Hillcrest.
The move to CNO in Waco is a promotion for Hardie, who previously served as vice president of administration and administrator of Andrews Women’s Hospital at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth. Additionally, she held the role of system lead for women’s services at Baylor Scott & White Health – North Texas Division.
Hardie began her career at Baylor All Saints Medical Center Fort Worth as director of women’s and children’s services in October 2005, where she was instrumental in the planning, construction and opening of the Paul and Judy Andrews Women’s Hospital. She successfully led Andrews’ nursing leadership and staff development, increasing the number of masters and doctoral prepared nurses. During her tenure, she established the women’s and children’s simulation lab and was the executive lead for three Bill Aston Quality awards. In her system role, she successfully oversaw the merger of women’s and children’s organizational leadership.
Hardie begins her CNO duties in Waco on May 16.
