Lakeway Clinic Joins Baylor Scott & White Health

Baylor Scott & White Health has added a family medicine clinic in Lakeway. Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Lakeway is a 3,000-square-foot facility located at 1700 Ranch Rd. 620 S., Suite B. The location, formerly known as the DeWitt Family Care Clinic, has joined the Baylor Scott & White Health family to continue providing quality primary care for patients with various medical conditions as well as preventive medicine.

“Establishing a presence in Lakeway gives our patients access to primary care that is closer to home,” said Rob Watson, MD, chief medical officer, Baylor Scott & White – Austin/Round Rock region. “Care starts where you live and we’re responding to the needs of the communities we serve.”

“Doctors, nurses, and support staff are the key to helping keep communities healthy and vibrant,” said Ronald Dewitt MD, family medicine physician at the Lakeway Clinic. Dr. DeWitt, a long-time Lakeway-area resident and Spanish speaker, has served the community for 30 years through his private practice. With a commitment to excellence, he’s cared for a number of patients and families in Lakeway. He enjoys caring for patients’ lifelong medical needs, not just treating symptoms.

“We love this community and we want to ensure it has access to quality health care,” said Dr. DeWitt. “Our population continues to grow here in Lakeway, and we’re here to meet our patients’ medical needs by providing more resources to deliver the best care possible.”

Dr. DeWitt completed his medical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1983, and went on to complete his residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. DeWitt is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, cycling and spending time with his family.

“Since 1986, my goal has been to care for the Lakeway community,” said Dr. DeWitt. “Caring for people you know is just one of the many benefits of working at this clinic I call home. Now we’re expanding those services with the support of the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas.”

The clinic features services that include primary care and women’s health care. Veronica Garza, PA-C, physician assistant, will join the staff at the clinic. Additionally, Jodi Owens, PA-C, physician assistant, will continue seeing patients at the clinic. Terrance Hines, MD, will serve as medical director for the clinic.
